However, artificial reefs are a very viable option for economic development here in RI. They are among the many focal point style projects that we should be embracing at a state level. The boost to tourism is a plus, boost for the environment is a plus, and the peripheral industries needed to support this type of project would thrive...and the models to do this show sustainable industries and commerce.
